St. Louis Blues coach Ken Hitchcock described his first-round series with the Chicago Blackhawks as “fun” after Game 4 on Tuesday. Well, one team is having fun right now, and the other is not. The Blues took a 3-1 series advantage by defeating the Blackhawks 4-3 at the United Center in Chicago on Tuesday.
The Blues took both games in Chicago and will return to St. Louis with a chance to wrap up the series. There was very little between the two teams again in Game 4 as it was the fourth consecutive game decided by one. The teams were tied 2-2 heading into the third period, and the Blues capitalized on a couple of penalties and a turnover to pull out the victory.
Brian Hedger and Scott Powers were there in Chicago for the game and stuck around afterward to record a podcast and break down everything that happened in Game 4. Hedger and Powers will be recording podcasts following every game of the series.
Scott Powers has been covering the Blackhawks for the past four seasons. He was a staff writer for ESPN Chicago from 2009-2015 and covered the Blackhawks for them for three seasons. He is now a staff contributor for The Athletic in Chicago. He has also written for Today’s Slapshot, the Chicago Sun-Times, the Chicago Tribune, USA Hockey Magazine and other publications throughout the country.
