Whenever the Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues get together, there’s a good chance of a suspenseful hockey game.
The two rivals delivered again on Wednesday.
For the fifth time in their last seven playoff games, the Blackhawks and Blues needed overtime to decide the outcome. The Blues pulled out a 1-0 overtime win over Chicago to take Game 1 of their opening-round series.
Brian Hedger and Scott Powers were there at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis for the game and stuck around afterward to record a podcast and break down everything that happened in Game 1. They discuss the game-winning goal, Blues goalie Brian Elliott’s play, the Blackhawks’ defensive performance, the many power-play opportunities by both and much more. Hedger and Powers will be recording podcasts following every game of the series.
